Winter with Kotatsu | こたつの冬 | Hiver avec Kotatsu

Winter is here in Montreal. We’ve been having some snow in the last few weeks, but today it’s somehow getting a little warmer(around 7°C) and people are enjoying this little break from the cold climate.

Last weekend I visited the shop called Collection du Japon where they have many imported products from Japan and there I found an essential item for Japanese winter… Kotatsu

Kotatsu is a little table with a heater installed on the upper part under the table and with blanket around. It keeps warm inside, you put your legs in it and just relax……
Most Japanese families have kotatsu in their living room in winter. You eat, read, work on the laptop, take a nap… or you just spend most of your day in kotatsu!

Now that I have one here, it’s already making my Canadian winter life much cozier!

モントリオールに、また冬がやってきました。ここ２～３週間ぐらい前から雪が降っていたのですが、今日は少し暖かくなり（7°Cぐらい）、周りはみんな束の間の陽気を楽しんでいたようです。

先週末、こちらにある「Collection du Japon」という、日本から取り寄せたいろいろな商品を売っている店に行ったのですが、そこでなんと、日本の冬の必須アイテム、こたつを見つけました。

早速購入しましたが（値段は輸送費などがかかっているせいか日本の３倍ぐらいでした）、やっぱりこたつはいいですね。これで今年は、カナダの冬をより快適に過ごせそうです。

L’hiver est arrivé ici à Montréal. Nous avons eu un peu de neige au cours des dernières semaines, mais aujourd’hui, il fait en quelque sorte un peu plus chaud(environ 7°C) et les gens apprécient cette petite pause dans le climat froid.

Week-end dernier, je ai visité le magasin appelé Collection du Japon où ils ont beaucoup de produits importés du Japon et là je ai trouvé un élément essentiel pour l’hiver japonais… Kotatsu

Kotatsu est une petite table avec un appareil de chauffage installé sur la partie supérieure sous la table et avec une couverture autour. Il conserve à l’intérieur chaleureux, vous mettez vos jambes en elle et tout simplement se détendre……
La plupart des familles japonaises ont kotatsu dans leur salon, en hiver. Vous mangez, lire, travailler sur l’ordinateur portable, faire une sieste… ou vous passez simplement la plupart de votre journée dans kotatsu!

Maintenant que je ai un ici, ce est déjà faire ma vie beaucoup plus confortable d’hiver canadien!
